New resources are now available to people in the Illawarra who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. These include an A5 sized Resource Directory & range of references available to be loaned from Wollongong Council libraries.
The Directory includes a range of services & programs available locally in the Illawarra, to help people diagnosed with breast cancer, such as financial, accommodation, & transport assistance, contacts for local support groups, & medical services. The final Directory will be available by the end of November.
A range of references related to breast cancer were donated to Wollongong Council’s Central Library, to be loaned by breast cancer patients, their carers, family or friends, to help people through a breast cancer experience. References include books, e-books, dvds, & CDs. To find out what references are available for loan from Wollongong libraries, phone Council on 4227-7414 or go to their website at:http://www.wollongong.nsw.gov.au/library then type in words such as “breast cancer” & select the Search button.
