Further Life Members Acknowledged
On 17 November 2025, our President, Narelle Langridge, presented Jean Fleming and Rita Glossop with their “Life Member” badges and certificates. These two ladies have been very dedicated and active members of the Illawarra Cancer Carers for well and truly over 30 years and Narelle thanked them for their distinguished and voluntary service to the Illawarra Cancer Carers.
This now brings us to a total of six Life Members, who have each dedicated so much of their time to the Illawarra Cancer Carers.
Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. They’ve poured their time, energy, and passion into making sure that the Illawarra Cancer Carers continues to grow and provide support to those who need it most. From organising fundraising events to providing hands-on support, their commitment has made an immeasurable difference in the lives of so many, and without this support and commitment, we would not be able to achieve what we have. We are so proud of everything they have achieved.
Recipients of this award must have 30 active years of service and future presentations will be made each year at our Annual General Meetings to those members who qualify.
Narelle also presented 30+ years’ Service Certificates to Olive McKinnon, Jeanie Brown, Nelson Piyaratna, Aileen Sullivan and Denise Walsh. Although these members may not be as active as they were in their earlier years, they remain members of the Illawarra Cancer Carers and still support us. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.
