A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL CANCER CARERS FROM YOUR COMMITTEE
Your Committee wish all our Cancer Carers a very Merry Christmas and every good wish for a Happy New Year. We also hope that many of you enjoy a break from your volunteering although those who drive, work in the Ward and Centre are still rostered over the holiday period.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for everything that each of you do to make our organisation so successful.
Our core works are to drive patients; help those receiving treatment in the Cancer Care Centre and Ward C7; not forgetting those who help survivors in the Lymphoedema Clinic and of course, the checking, organising and delivering of the wheelchairs and mobility scooters enabling people to be more independent.
Then we have the wonderful band of Craft workers who continually make and then sell items in the Market Stalls that helps with the very important aspect of raising money for our major caring duties.
To those who work on Barbeques, sometimes in very hot weather, thank you.
A very big Thank You to all of our Cancer Carer Coordinators who ensure that everything runs smoothly for the patients and workers in their various areas.
We also thank our Banquet Committee and workers who strive hard to make our major fundraiser so successful and thus enable us to purchase equipment for the hospital so that cancer patients have up-to-date treatment during their journey.
This year joining us for the first time, we thank the six very enthusiastic young women who worked hard to raise money for breast cancer through the Glitz&Glamour Ball.
So enjoy this time of the year with your family and friends and most importantly, keep safe. Come back refreshed to continue the good work in February 2020 as next year will be a big year when we celebrate our 30 years of caring.
Thank you one and all
